PORN addiciton and masterbating
I’ve been getting allot of hits to the site with requests that people want to control porn addiction, or wanting to get advice about too much masturbation . So I’ve compiled a list of ways to help quit porn. I had allot of trouble myself and now I don’t.
1. Turn it off, simple enough first on the list turn off the porn and stop watching the porn. To not watch porn all you need to do is not watch it!
2. Have a detox, a porn detox, if you’re watching too much porn maybe you should just have a porn detox first, have a break of a week or 30 days without porn. See if 30 days rest from watching porn makes any difference to your life.
3. Have a detox, a masturbation detox, continue to watch porn but have a 30 day detox from masturbation. Watch as much porn as you want. But “Watch porn without masturbating”. Keep your hands off but continue to watch porn with no wanking.
4. Keep a diary, Write down every time you watch porn and the reasons for doing so, write down the reasons for masturbating over a particular film. Did this porn film have something in it that was special?
5. Make stopping porn part of your TO-do List. Organised people work from a daily list of activities and a To-do list. Crossing of tasks can be a great motivator. Add don’t watch porn or don’t jerk off to your list of prioriets for the day. Writing it down as part of your daily list of activities to achieve, Keeps the goal of quitting porn addiction in front of you every day. And it ensures you break the porn habit one day at a time.
6. Set milestones, Set goals and targets for not watching porn or quitting masturbation habit. Set a target of X amount of days then a further target. Perhaps it would not feel so good to quit for good or stop masturbating full stop. So set a date every 20 days to treat yourself to some porn.
7. Watch allot of porn and masturbate more, Reverse psychology on this one, Watch porn till your bored, watch it 24 hours a day don’t let yourself go to sleep keep watching. Keep masturbating even until you no longer want to. Really rub it in, if porn is a naughty little thing that you sneak of for 5mins to watch. Then go full blown watch 15hours of porn. Till your sick of it and its out of your system.
8. Turn it up; another way to stop watching porn is to put the volume on full. If your going to watch it put it on the loudest it can possibly go so your whole house can hear that you’re watching porn. Make it obvious that you’re watching it. Don’t hide the fact your watching porn, make it stupidly obvious. If you can’t watch it like this then you may as well quit porn for good.
9. Open your doors and curtains. To stop yourself watching porn stop hiding away and watching porn with the curtains closed. Like the method before. Keep the windows and doors open if you feel like watching porn. Make sure you are in a situation where you will seriously get the neighbours talking if you need to do it.
10. Get your parents of friends and family in the room. If you feel the need to watch porn a good way to quit is to invite your granny over let her sit in your room. Try and watch porn while your family is sitting in your room. Quit porn by not being alone so much, don’t hide away and watch porn. Don’t hide and masturbate. Make yourself in a position where it is the most indecent thing to do.
11. Quitting Porn Affirmations. Some affirmations to stop watching porn or masturbating.
Today I’ve got lots of things to do; I haven’t got time for porn.
I think porn is fun to watch but I don’t need to watch it.
I can go a day without watching porn.
Stop wanking all the time.
I have many positive aspects of myself.
I am a Wanker and a tosser, if I watch porn too much.
Today I will spend time with my friends and family.
I can quit porn, porn videos and magazines don’t have control over me.
I am healthy and have a healthy sex life.
I am incontroll of what I watch.
I am in control of the websites I visit.
I know there are lots of porn videos; I am not addicted to watching porn.
Make up your own affirmations, the goal is what you need to focus on. So include ideas about not watching sex videos or not being alone and masturbating to porn.
12. Delete and throw away your porn collection. If you have spent hundreds of dollars on porn then more fool you, throw the porn videos away and delete all your porn videos of your computer. Make a fresh start, so there is nothing to hide and no stash of porn magazines under the bed or in the cupboard. The feeling of guilt or worry if someone finds your porn collection is all part of the goal of being detoxed from porn.
13. Go on addiction forums and quit porn websites, there is lots and lots of places on the web filled with people who are trying to break their addictions of porn, masturbation and internet addiction. There are success stories of people who made the choice to break their porn addictions. There is lots of motivation to be had by sharing the goal with other people. If you are on day three and are having troubles craving some porn, there is probably a guy who is in the same boat as you. Or a guy that is on day 10 and will tell you all about it.
14. Porn and sex site filters. I don’t believe in these filters, it should not be the computer deciding what you can and cannot watch. I think this is making more of a deal out of the whole situation of porn addiction. If you see images of pussy and couples having sex in your search on Google, then that’s just the way the web works. It is your choice to Click on the link or not. The internet and sex sites are designed to hook you in by any means, so they will put sex on image searches and any phrase or term could lead in to an adult site. It’s your reaction to this image that determines how in control you are of your addictive behaviour. Pictures of sex and naked women are good, they are amazing infact. Porn is very nice to watch, there is nothing unnatural about being turned on by images and video of the opposite sex. That’s human nature. The problem is being addicted to images on your computer. Your computer although is showing you a beautiful female with her legs spread open. In reality this isn’t real. It’s your computer screen.
15. Turn off your computer get outside. If your addicted to watching porn and masturbating. Just get outside and in the fresh air. Get away from all the porn sites and adverts for sex. Get outside and clear your mind of all the confusion of the internet and porn addiction. Go and do some housework get porn off your mind for 30mins.
16. Tell your family and friends what you’re going through. If porn and masturbation addiction is a real problem then let other people know what you are going through. It may be just what you need admitting you have a masturbation problem to your family. So they know what you are doing, same as the points made earlier. Really get the habit out in the open, the porn addictions and masturbation addiction often comes with guilt and anxiety attached. There is allot of hiding and secrecy with the masturbating and allot of energy and time is taken away by the porn addiction.
17. YouTube it, Facebook and twitter. Tell the world, update your status. “I just watched porn and I feel a bit guilty” or “I just masturbated over hardcore porn” on your Facebook. See what response you get. Its only an addiction or a problem if you make a big deal out of your porn habits.
There are lots more ways you can break your porn and masturbation habits, just write your own list of ways to stop watching. If you can use your own insight and methods and plan your method of attack on this habit, then even if you don’t break the habit completely you will be more the stronger for trying. And if you do happen to watch porn or masturbate you will be more likely to be doing it out of a choice rather than an addiction.
